ABOUT ME:

David is currently the instructor for classroom music at the high school level for Region #10. He is also the choral director at Lewis Mills High School, and is currently involved in the development of music technology opportunities for the district. In past years, he has also taught at Lake Garda Elementary where he taught kindergarten through 4th grade classroom music and 3rd grade recorder classes, and at Har-Bur Middle School, where he taught both vocal and instrumental classes in the 6th-8th grade programs.

David is a past member of the executive board of the Eastern Division of the American Choral Director's Association as the division's webmaster, served as the webmaster for the Connecticut division of ACDA, has been the choral chair for the Berkshire League Music Festival, and was the treasurer and 2004-2005 choral chair for the Northern Region CMEA music festival. He has an avid interest in the world's diverse musical cultures and can be seen performing roots, folk, classical, contemporary and avante-garde music in Connecticut as a mandolinist, fiddler and bouzouki player. A CD recording released in 2010 by David and guitarist Shawn Persinger was on the 2010 Grammy nomination ballot for best jazz instrumental album.

David currently resides in Burlington, Connecticut with his wife Lisa, daughter Maizie Jiang, and their loving and much loved yellow labs, Monty and Charlie.
